“I was raised under the expectation to be obedient, quiet and ladylike, but I chose to redefine what that means. Girls are constantly told what to be and how to be. I believe girls should be encouraged to choose who they want to be and, whatever that is, to be the absolute best at it. If there’s one piece of advice I would give to women across the world, it’s to be audacious. Never play small. The world is vast, and your voice deserves space. This honor is truly humbling to receive.”
