Current title & company: Director of Camp at Camp Jabberwocky
Brief description of who you are professionally with concise accomplishments: I’m a genuine and resourceful professional who thrives in spaces that align with a purpose that lights me up. With a background in anthropology, I’m deeply driven by connection—creating and nurturing environments that bring people together. I spent several years in the fitness industry, both teaching and managing teams, before transitioning into the nonprofit world. Being selected to step into my current role two years ago, a new role for the organization, has been such a special shift.
Why did you join TWToday and what are you hoping to achieve? I joined TWToday shortly after moving to Boston, seeking a supportive community as I navigate this new chapter. I’m hoping to build meaningful connections and develop tools that will help me adapt through the different seasons of my career.
One of your most proud professional moments and what are you most looking forward to professionally the next five years: One of my proudest professional moments was serving as Director of Operations at a movement studio, guiding the team through the challenges of the pandemic while building a new space that continues to thrive today. As one of two people shaping what the community would become during such an uncertain time, I learned invaluable lessons about decision-making and collaboration with people of diverse strengths to create something greater than the sum of its parts. I’m especially proud that the studio continues to flourish and that I still have strong ties to the community, even as I’ve transitioned into a new industry and city.
In the next five years, I’m looking forward to continuing to grow as a leader – building meaningful connections, taking on projects that excite me and finding new ways to contribute to teams that inspire resilience. Being in a leadership position with Camp Jabberwocky, after years of volunteering, I’m even more excited looking towards the future within this space for which I care so deeply.
What do you do in your “free” time? In my ‘free’ time, I teach Pilates, get lost in good books (always open to fiction recommendations!) and run—very slowly—along the Charles. I love a good Scandal rewatch to channel a bit of Olivia Pope’s energy and to explore new restaurants around the city since cooking isn’t exactly my passion.
3 core values: Kindness, honesty, connection
Fun fact: Even having grown up in Boston, I’m an avid Yankees fan.
