With the unwavering support of remarkable women leaders from both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, Tomorrow’s Women TODAY successfully expanded into Rhode Island in 2023. This milestone marked the beginning of a new chapter for our organization, bringing our mission to empower, connect, and uplift women leaders beyond Massachusetts and into the Ocean State. Our Rhode Island launch has not only built a bridge for women professionals but has also established a dynamic community that nurtures future leaders’ ambitions through strategic connections, mentorship, and peer support.

TWToday/RI offers an unparalleled network for women identified as rising stars, with repeated opportunities to share ideas, learn from top-tier industry leaders, and shape the future of business. Additionally, TWToday/RI provides a unique platform for influential and executive women leaders seeking transparency and open dialogue. They gain opportunities to network with peers across diverse industries, gaining increased exposure to prominent leaders and pathways to join not-for-profit boards. Together, we work to ensure that women are “At the Table” in businesses throughout Providence and surrounding areas.

Since 2009, TWToday has built an ecosystem where members connect with prominent women business leaders in Boston—and now, Rhode Island—while forming invaluable bonds with each other. Our members embody a spirit of collaboration, curiosity, and a shared passion for personal and professional growth, believing that together, they are more powerful in reaching their goals. The pandemic served as a pivotal moment for our community, allowing us to pause, reflect, and reimagine our impact. As businesses and individuals ventured beyond Boston, we saw a natural opportunity to expand our influence. By embracing the unique challenges and opportunities that women in Rhode Island encounter, we amplify our support for tomorrow’s leaders in this new locale. Together, we are enhancing the experiences, creating the opportunities, and accessing the connections women need to consistently rise and lead.

Our Tiered Model

TWToday’s membership model is highly effective at driving career advancement because it is both cross-industry and intergenerational, and is structured with three distinct membership tiers; Early Leaders, Emerging Leaders, and Executive Leaders. These tiers are a unique feature of the TWToday model that ensures programming is tailored and applicable to the unique opportunities, challenges, and transitions that surface for members at each career phase. Furthermore, the tiered model also ensures members ongoing access to the prominent leaders ten steps ahead, and rising professionals five steps behind.

While many TWToday programs are intended for members of a specific tier, select events are designed to build formal and informal connections across multiple tiers. As members move through their lives and careers their membership tier evolves with them, guaranteeing an ongoing and long term network of peers and mentors navigating comparable experiences.

Our organization is deeply committed to addressing the critical need for advancing women across the leadership continuum. Through our thoughtfully designed mentoring and leadership development programs, and our intergenerational network, we foster meaningful connections among women, providing them with visibility, access, and the support they need to succeed.

As the TWToday network grows in Rhode Island, we are focusing on building a robust community of Emerging Leaders and Executive Leaders before establishing an Early Leader Tier. However, if you are an Early Leader based in RI, please don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss alternative options.

The Early Leaders Tier at TWToday is designed for the next generation of women professionals—including undergraduates, recent graduates, and early-career professionals with less than five years of experience. This tier provides the programming, network, and support for young professionals to move into the workplace confidently, find their professional ‘voice’, and excel early on.

The Emerging Leaders Tier connects established women business leaders across Massachusetts, fostering relationships based on collaboration, curiosity, and shared ambition. Together, this community creates growth opportunities and supports women’s voices being heard “At the Table” in businesses across the region.

The Executive Leaders Tier offers an exclusive space for executive and influential women leaders who seek candid conversations and professional development. Members gain access to a diverse peer network, explore new pathways to nonprofit board service, and engage in transparent, open dialogue that advances women’s representation in leadership roles throughout Massachusetts.

Our Programming & Events

TWToday programming addresses the most pressing challenges, barriers, and experiences ambitious women professionals face. The robust calendar of regular programming occurs both virtually and in person, and takes the form of development workshops, panel discussions, supportive networking, high touch mentorship, social gatherings, community volunteering, wellness, and personal development opportunities covering a range of topics like financial literacy, family planning, nonprofit Board involvement, and more.
