Lauren is the Founder and President of Tomorrows Women Today.  With the help of her team, Lauren has carried the organization from inception to where it stands now with over 50+ members.  Lauren is responsible for the organizations strategic planning, event planning, outreach and communications. Before committing to full-time work with this not for profit start up, Lauren has worked as a health care professional for over thirteen years where she had a successful track record of hospital management, hospital wide performance improvement initiatives, analysis, trending, reporting and training. Lauren holds a Masters Degree in Business/Healthcare Administration.

Kerry Ann Hayon, Co-Founder & Board Member

Kerry Ann is the Director Practice Solutions and Research, Massachusetts Medical Society. Kerry Ann holds a Masters Degree in Health Administration and Policy from The George Washington University. She has worked in a variety of healthcare organizations focusing on process analysis, design and enhancement, leadership development, strategic planning, organizational development, and operational efficiency analysis and systematic implementation.

Helena Carvalho, Co-Founder & Board Member

Helena has experience in both the for profit and nonprofit fields, with an extensive background in Real Estate Management and a Masters in both Business and Public Administration. As a leader of Emerging Professionals in the Boston Commercial Real Estate industry, Helena leveraged her experience in operations management and acquisitions/dispositions to manage several award winning, first-class high rise office towers.
After 12 years in Boston, Helena recently returned to her roots in Connecticut to take on the role of Director of Operations for a Hartford nonprofit. A first generation Portuguese-American, Helena is fluent in Portuguese and travels frequently to Portugal. Helena also has a passion for all things fashion related and sits on the board of the Wadsworth Atheneum’s Costume and Textile Society.

Abby Shepard, Co-Founder & Board Member

Abby Shepard is a marketing and design consultant. She specializes in various categories of business but has a strong focus on women’s lifestyle products and services. She has worked as the New England Advertising & Marketing Executive at Harvard University’s Harvard Magazine since 2008 – while also running her freelance design studio in Jamaica Plain. She is a trained illustrator, designer, writer and art director. Abby studied at Massachusetts College of Art and Lesley University’s LUCAD. She is an avid supporter of education, mentorship, creating positive connections, seeking out inspiration and following one’s passion. In between designing, drawing, and promoting, you’ll find her posting about trends, travels and her latest design work at – or with her latest custom wedding creations.

Liv Woods, Co-Founder & Board Member
Liv is a Senior Consultant for the Business Consulting Group (BCG), an internal consulting resource, for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA).  BCG’s work involves process design and improvement, program and project management, and business strategy and execution planning.  Liv has a Master of Business Administration and Certificate in Healthcare Administration from Simmons College.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut.

Liv resides in Concord with her husband and two sons.  In her spare time, Liv enjoys running, cooking, spending time with her family, and dreaming about all the future places she wants to visit.


Rachel Wilkes: Secretary
Rachel is the Director of Corporate Operations for an early stage, closely held financial technology company in Newton, MA.  As the first female employee and a member of the management team at Hyannis Port Research (HPR),she works closely with the CEO/Founder to manage the daily operations and strategic corporate initiatives for the company.  Rachel is responsible for HR administration, recruiting, public relations efforts, inventory management, payroll, and more.  She also serves on the Board of Directors.  With previous experience in the startup world, venture capital and professional services, and as a Certified Public Accountant, Rachel brings a wide breadth of business expertise to HPR.

Joanna Damp: Director of Member Engagement
Joanna is a Vice President at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) and Senior Channel Marketing Manager within the Intermediary Business Group (IBG). As a member of the North America Channel Marketing Team supporting the Intermediary Business Group, Joanna manages marketing strategies for the Registered Investment Advisor and Independent/Regional Broker Dealer channels, the SSGA Sub-Advisory team, and the SSGA Upromise 529 Plan. Joanna has spent the majority of her career in the financial services industry in various roles including Global Marketing for SunGard Financial Systems, Director of Marketing at Boston Technologies, Assistant Vice President at Old Mutual Asset Management in Boston and Cape Town, South Africa, as well as Marketing roles with FundQuest and the NCR Corporation. She earned a Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communications from Emerson College and a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Marketing and Graphic Design from Clemson University.

Francesca Federico: Director of Membership & Social Media
Francesca is the co-founder and principal of Twelve Points, a Registered Investment Advisor, with offices in Boston and Concord, MA. Prior to Twelve Points, she was a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley. In 2014, Investment News named her one of the “Top 40 Under 40” advisors in the country. She co-founded Twelve Points in order to truly help people and change her clients’ lives for the better. Francesca specializes in working with Corporate Retirement Plans and also enjoys working with women executives in transition or going through divorce. She became an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designee, considered the gold standard for fiduciary care in the financial services industry, in February 2015 and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® designee in September 2015.

Christine Baldwin, Clerk
Christine Baldwin, is the founder and owner of Redhead Media. She founded the company in 2003 to provide full service media planning and buying services for clients.  She has worked with a wide range of clients in the fields of education, healthcare, non-profits, banking, retail, travel and other industries.  Before starting Redhead Media, she worked in advertising agencies and sales organizations.  In her free time, she enjoys motorcycling, golfing, ziplines, wine, movies and hanging out with her husband, family and friends. She is a graduate of Western New England University with a degree in Marketing and Economics.

Katie is a Trustee Scholar at Boston University and also a member of their Kilachand Honors College. After transitioning her Girl Scout Gold Award Project into an entrepreneurial pursuit in June of 2013, she continues to fulfill its mission of educating families about the link between healthy eating and positive school performance. As the reach of the business has expanded, the venues in which Katie communicates her message of nutrition as an agent for disease prevention as well as a mechanism for consumer advocacy and awareness have also grown. In this role, it is her goal to identify and recruit the best and brightest of women leaders at the collegiate level.
